Aloha Grandma/Miss Sylvia It is with a heartfelt Aloha and sympathy that the school has lost a beloved teacher but gained an angel. Mrs. Sylvia Comer was called home by our Heavenly Father on Feb. 9th 2018. Her funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Church on Friday, February 23rd at 9 a.m. and mass at 10 a.m. She will be layed to rest at Makawao Veterans Graveryard following the mass. Fr. Jose has closed the school to honor her and her almost 30 years of service to teaching at St. Joseph E.L.C.

St. Joseph Early Learning Center students performed their Christmas Program after it was rescheduled due to the Flash Flood back in December. The children did great job in reenacting the birth of Christ as seen through the eyes of a old star and new star. After the program the students and families got to enjoy a pot-luck dinner and fellowship. The students are also gearing up for Catholic schools week and the Trike-A-Thon. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year.

Thanksgiving Prayer Service - Deccan Pat Constantino celebrated with the St. Joseph Early Learning Center at their annual Thanksgiving Prayer Service. Each year the students reenact the first Thanksgiving in their class made costumes, donate can goods for the parish food bank and participate in a liturgical dance entitled "We are Thankful."  The staff and family members got to snap a group picture after the service in front of the church alter before taking home their Pilgrims and Wampanoags for the festivities of the Thanksgiving weekend. Thank you also to all that made our Christmas Craft fair a success...May God bless you all this Holiday Season.
